Take the A77 south from Ayr through Maybole and on towards Turnberry. The white entrance gates to the drive are on the left, about 6km (4 miles) south of Maybole and 3km (1.5 miles) after passing the ruins of Crossraguel Abbey on the left. At the top of the outer drive, turn left onto a small public road. The main gates are about 150 yards on the right.
